Well where should I start 🤔. Never stayed here before. But have stayed at all the other DVC resorts. Cabin is beautiful nice relaxing. But ran into a huge problem that quite frankly was just weird and a violation of privacy. I have been coming to Disney and staying at DVC resorts a long time. My husband always takes garbage out. So I don't need house keeping. And I really hate garbage laying around. Anyhow a house keeper comes and he tells her I already took trash out. She stated no I have to see for myself. Odd right? My husband shut the door. Then I get a call telling me they have to come in and do a wellness check. Well 🤷 I answered the phone, I'm well. Still insisting someone needs to come inside. Now this is their manager calling me on phone. So technically it's not a wellness check. But whatever get this over with. They come in go room to room checking everything closet, bathrooms, cabinet and even Lanai. At this point I felt like they thought I was harboring fugitives. And here I just finished cooking dinner. I'm in my robe and night gown. Kids are celebrating birthday in park. This is not normal. I have never experienced such a violation of my privacy before staying at Disney. Quite frankly I don't like being treated like a criminal. I'm here on a mini vacation. This experience has completely changed how I see Disney. I have teenage daughters would you just let yourself in and scare my kids? I also seen unbeknownst to me on Reddit this is a normal occurrence. They walk in now when your alone and in the shower. This does not make me feel safe. I think it maybe time to sell my DVC.

My wife and I have been DVC members since 2010 and this weekend took our daughter and her friend up to celebrate her birthday. When the girls were at the park one of the cleaners came to our cabin insisting on coming inside and I told her no and refused to open the door. She said then called her manager who phoned the room explaining that its policy to inspect the room on an every other day scheduled, which is something we had never experienced in ten years worth of stays. We reluctantly let him in. I followed him into the first room where he started looking in a gift bag and I called him a thief and told him I won't let him out of my sight. He stated that he didn't feel safe and immediately left the room. His manager called and once again said that they have to come in the room. A few minutes later the manager and his boss came back and entered the room, looked around then left. The whole experience made us feel like criminals. Apparently they go in rooms and go through people's things all the time without people knowing their things are being searched. It was very upsetting and now we are probably going to sell our time share and never return. Just remember If you stay at a Disney resort they are going to search your bags while you're out.

This is the perfect resort to decompress in a serene surroundings after a long day at the park. The rooms were immaculate. The water pressure was perfect. The room decor was tastefully themed and the finishings were clearly of high quality. Boats and buses to the parks ran frequently. The high rating for this hotel is well-deserved. I would not hesitate to stay here again when I'm traveling to Disney.

The staff at the wilderness lodge is amazing. Going above and beyond on my daughter's birthday. They upgraded our room and continuously checked in to make sure we had a magical vacation for her special day. The staff and management are always trying to make the stay the best that it can be.

We had a 2 bedroom suite. The kitchen was fully stocked. Washer and dryer in the room. I found the bed comfortable. The resort has a fantastic ambiance. Restaurants were good. This resort has access to the boats for transit to and from the Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. Service was good and cast members were friendly and helpful as always.
