Example Itinerary

Day 1 - Moscow

Arrive in Moscow and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay

Day 2 - Moscow

Explore Moscow at leisure or book an optional excursion

Take an evening transfer to the railway station for the train to Irkutsk

Day 3 - On Train

Admire the historically important cities of Russia from the comfort of your train compartment, including Omsk and Novosibirsk

Day 4 - On Train

Continue travelling to Irkutsk, passing through Russian cities

Day 5 - On Train

Continue travelling to Irkutsk, passing through Russian cities

Day 6 - Irkutsk

Arrive in Irkutsk, transfer to your hotel and check in for a two night stay

Day 7 - Lake Baikal

Enjoy a full-day excursion to the small Siberian village of Listvyanka, beautifully perched on the shores of Lake Baikal

Day 8 - Train to Ulaanbaatar

Transfer from your hotel to Irkutsk Railway Station for the train to Mongolia

Spend two nights aboard, and stop at the Russian border town of Naushki on the way

Day 9 - Train to Ulaanbaatar

Continue travelling to Ulaanbaatar on the train

Day 10 - Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and embark on a tour of the city with your local guide

Spot the main highlights of the city including the Gandan Temple and the Zaisan Memorial

Visit the Museum of National History, learning about Mongolia's history

Day 11 - Terelj National Park

Transfer by car to Terelj National Park, located 80km outside Ulaanbaatar

En route you'll stop at the Genghis Khan Statue

Once in the Park you'll visit the famous Turtle Rock - an 80ft tall granite formation

Plus enjoy hiking, horseback riding and archery

Day 12 - Ulaanbaatar

Spend the morning exploring Terejl National Park and enjoy a local lunch

Transfer back to Mongolia's bustling capital

Enjoy a folk concert with dinner in the evening

Day 13 - Train to Beijing

Transfer to the railway station for the overnight train to Beijing
